SHOP UPDATE: Susi's 37 is getting a little closer
So, we finished painting rotors and calipers and plumbing the brakes and got them bled. One system is finished.
I started the wiring the other night. The gauges are wired and now its time to start wiring the engine and lights.
We also did a bunch of work on the bed last night straightening out some of the damage and installed a different tailgate. This gate is a touch straighter than the previous. I will be working on the bed floor and mounting in the next few evenings. Time to get rockin on this one and get it on the road.

SHOP UPDATE: More metal work
I finally finished the drivers rear fender, turned out good. I like the look. Now on to the passenger side so we can get them in primer.
Susi is hard at it on the body work. The cab should be in primer in a day or two.

SHOP UPDATE: That is one hard working girl right there!!
This is my hard working girl right there. She has been kickin ass on the body work for the last couple of days. I am pretty sure she has found her calling. Her work is outstanding! I am so proud of her and love her to death.
We have been rotating back and forth between projects. When the filler is setting we are making some progress on her hot rod.
This is an Ford big block starter with a modified bendix drive in it. This is part of the conversion to the C4 transmission.
Got the Vega steering box installed and the chrome draglink.
Rebuilt and installed the oil pump and drive shaft
I installed the HEI billet distributor. This is full electronic ignition, should be a big plus for reliability.I restored and installed the road draft tube assembly and the fuel pump block off plate.
Susi is packing it full of Dynamat. We can't have a noisy hot rod that is for sure.
The front half is Dynamated ready for me to mount the fuse box and begin wiring the gauges
I did a little cut and buff on some dust particles on the dash and header and installed the new Dolphin gauges.

SHOP UPDATE: More body work on the 36
I finished all the fabrication and metal work on Jim's cab finally.
I got some serious time in with the stud welder and a slide hammer for sure.
There it is, first shot of primer. Next is guide coat and start sanding.
We made some good progress on the body work today. Hope to finish the cab mid week and get it painted.

SHOP UPDATE: Susi's rod
Painted a bunch more small parts for Jim's 36 and Susi's rod.
I had a little last minute idea. I wanted a little more support for the K member in the center. I made this support for the top of the K. It should add more strength and have less chance of flex in the middle.
Here it is painted an installed
the cab is finally installed for the last time. I will start all the final assembly processes in the evenings and hope to hear it run soon.
Starting to assemble the Y block 312
Just a shot of the bottom. It looks nice and clean with just a touch of jewelry.
