Project 36 Ford Panel

Fabricated the motor mount today and set the small block Chevy V8 and overdrive automatic trans. I temporarily set the body for the first time on this chassis. The fit is very nice. Tomorrow I will do some trimming and move the body forward about 3 more inches. The next step will be to get the bolted to the frame so I can begin the chop on the top. Our plan is chop it 5 inches, then we will channel it between 5 and 7 inches. The channel will be detirmined after the chop to get the desired look we are after. Stay tuned to watch the creation of this beast.

Project 36 Ford

Here is project 36 Ford. I started this one last fall. I finished the frame this week and sent it off to the sand blaster with 2 other frames. When I get them back I will finish some welding and get it painted. Then I will paint all the suspension pieces and do the final assembly of the chassis. Once it is complete I will move on to the body work and get this one finished up. Looking for ward to getting this one done. It has a mustang II style front end, Explorer rear end with parallel leaf springs and four wheel power disc brakes, The engine is a 5.0 fuel injected V8 with overdrive automatic trans. Should run like a dream.
