Sue, David and I hit the river early this morning for some killer fishing.

What can I say? Big fish on small dries. We had an awesome morning, found some really nice fish that could not resist our little dry flies. It pays to get out of bed and get to the river early. We can't wait to go again.

Finished the front suspension on Frank's 55 Ford F100

Well, this portion of the job is finished. After several surprise  modifications the front end went together and works perfectly. This is a very nice upgrade to the F100, it really changed the ride height. It will ride so much better than the stock front suspension. I moved everything forward 1 inch to correctly  center the wheels in the front fenders. I will be getting the truck back in the near future for a 3 inch chop. I can't wait get cutting on this one. I love chopping tops!!!

I took my friend Dwayne and his nephew Nate fishing the other day.

I took Dwayne and Nate fishing the other day. It was Nate's first time fishing, he had a great time and caught his first batch of brown trout. it was a really great day on the river.

Shop happenings over the last few days.

Did some more welding and repair on Richards 29 pickup parts. I have one more day and they should be finished.

I started repairing the mess someone started on Frank's 55 F 100. I removed the hat from the frame a started grinding down the bird shit looking welds. Then I had to cut a valley between the boxing plate and the frame so I can weld the plate to the frame and get the proper penetration with my weld. Both sides are ready to weld. Then I will install the lower crossmember for the Mustang II front suspension. Should get a bunch more done tonight.
