I THOUGHT I WOULD SHARE SOME PHOTOS OF MY COUPE SCORE

Well, both coupes definitely need lots of work. These coupes are getting extremely hard to find. Both cars are worth the effort to save them. I did  get tons of parts with these cars. The bare metal car is now in primer. I might start doing a little after hours work and repair some of the damage to the roof. Then I can replace the floor pan and get this one back in shape. the chassis has a new drop front axle with disc brakes and an 8 inch Ford rear axle. Some of the brake pedal assembly is already installed. This one would be really easy to have a finished chassis and move on to the body work.

THE CHOP IS FINISHED!

I finished the chop yesterday. It turned out really good. This one was definitely a challenge. I really enjoyed this one. There was a lot more cutting and moving to keep the proportions correct. These last 2 photos are the before and after shots for comparison.

MORE VINTAGE TIN

I scored some of the best tin yet. I picked up a pair of 1936 Ford 5 window coupes. This was quite a trip. We had to get very creative getting all this stuff in one load. It was quite a stack. I think the potential is very good in both these cars. Not sure what I am doing with any of it yet. I am sure I can think of something. Stay tuned!

RAINBOWS AND BROWNS IN THE FALL

Sue and I went fishing for a couple of hours the other day. I would have to say it was extremely successful. We caught some very nice fish and had a great time together.

Sue and I took some friends spey casting the other day

We took Paula and Bill from the Old Hotel Steel head fishing last week. Bill caught his first Steelhead. What an awesome day.

I JUST CAN'T LEAVE THE HOUSE ANYMORE!

Well, I went fishing with a friend of mine for a couple of hours and something followed me home again. Dwayne and I hit the river for a couple of hours and had a great time. We had a little lunch at the "Taco Bus" which was really good as usual. Before we could get out of Dillon, I ended up with another vintage pickup on a trailer behind us. I guess I just can't leave the house anymore. All fun aside, this pickup belongs to John Jensen from Oregon. It is a future build here in the shop. I will be using it as fill work between projects as I am waiting for parts, materials and weather. The plans are for a full custom chassis and keep the patina as is. John's plans are use it as a daily driver. Sounds great to me!
