SHOP UPDATE: The latest shop progress!

I have been wiring and plumbing the rat rod.

We finished the welding on the bed and mounted the bed on the chassis.

We mounted the tail lights and the license plate fasteners and lights.

Here are a couple of shots of the skeleton underneath.

We finally finished the Dodge door last night. I need to buff out a little dust and send this home.

SHOP UPDATE: Final assembly on Todd's rat rod

Those 2 E brake shoes are the hardest brake shoes I have ever changed. What a pain in the ass.
New shoes, new pads, new rotors. Ready to go.

All front suspension installed and ready for the road.
Gas tank and fuel filter installed waiting for plumbing.
This is the axle truss we built for the four link.

We decided to try something a little different with the dash. Needed a little style.
The correct block plate came in so we assembled the engine and trans and installed it in the chassis.

We put the cab on and test fit the seat for the first time. Should work great.
Had an ugly hole to fill in the side.
Susi cut the panel out and prepped the cab for the new patch panel.
I rolled a new patch through the slip roll and trimmed it to fit and welded it in.

Here it is as of tonight. It goes to the big shop for brakes and fuel system and start the wiring.

SHOP UPDATE: We are finishing the chassis for Todd's 42 Ford

Here is Susi running the beads on the new floor panels  for Todd's 42

This is the finished product. We replaced all the floor panels under the seat and in the passem\nger area.

 Here is the new firewall,

Found a spot for the battery and mounted the battery tray.

I modified and welded the front shock mounts. These also mount the headlights.
I borrowed Susi's chrome shocks for the mock up.
Here is the brake booster mounted on the firewall
This is the new underdash mounted pedal and the mock up steering column
The new shifter and E brake handle

The chassis crew showed up for the weekend. My father and oldest brother came up for the weekend for some Hot Rod building. We took the truck apart to do all the final welding of the frame and get ready for final assembly.

Just a little bit of welding today.
Here we are just finishing up the frame.

 Here is the finished frame.

We finished up by assembling the front and rear suspension for the last time. Tomorrow is brakes and fuel system and then try to get the engine and trans installed for the final time.

Oh yeah, we also painted a bunch more parts for a Toyota.
