I am about an hour away from finishing the 49 Chevy

I hit it hard and fast today. I changed the fuel pump and it runs fine. I changed the front bumper and added some custom flamed splash shields. I lenghtened the shifter and fabricated a nice start on a trans tunnel. The new owner will be able to finish it up. I installed the spot lights and a filler panel behind the gas tank. I need to fix a couple of rust holes in the floor pan and remove the mechanical pump and install the block off plate and it is ready for the final stage of Flat Black. Should shoot it Monday.

Spent another day working on the 36 panel truck

I spent the day in the shop working on the 36 panel. I am building a sub-frame for the interior with steel tubing. I am replacing all the wood with steel and adding some cross members to attach the steel floor panels to. Once the framework is finished I will drill and mount the body to the frame. Next step will be to fabricate the floor panels  and build the trans tunnel.

The 49 Chevy runs again

Just thought I'd throw a few photos up of the 49 chevy. I got it running, but the clutch master cylinder is bad so I can't drive it yet.I will have the parts on Wed. so I should be able to run it down the road late afternoon. Then run it into the back shop and finish some welding and gear up for the finish. This will be FOR SALE when it is done. If interested contact me.

Spent the afternoon on the 36 Panel chassis

I finished up the trans mount this afternoon. I also welded in several more cross members in the frame and finished off the rear of the frame. I am ready to fabricate a couple of mounting straps for the gas tank and get it installed. This one is moving really fast. Should get the body channeled and bolted on again after I return from fishing. Keep watching!

Hauled a really cool Model A today for a friend

I hauled a friends Model A panel truck. I really wish I was hauling it home to my house. This one is really rare. There are only 37 documented deluxe panel trucks for 1931. This one would be a real cool ride.

The 36 panel is back in the shop!

Pulled the panel in and removed the body the other day. Its time to start working on this chassis again. I changed some stuff on the rear suspension and mounted the airbags in a different spot. This gave me more space to mount the box for the battery and all the air ride controls. Now i can order the fuel tank and get it mounted behind the air ride box. The new engine should be here tomorrow. I can get the trans crossmember built and try to finish the chassis completely.
