VIVA LAS VEGAS!!!!

SEE YA NEXT WEEK!!!!!!

The Belair went home today!

We sent the wagon home today. We are not finished completely, we have several parts that are on back order. I decided there was no reason why Rick shouldn't be enjoying it for a while. Once the parts come in we will get back to finish the work. Everything turned out very nice. Its a great looking car.

Scored some new tin today

Check out the 34 Plymouth coupe body. It has the doors, really nice windshield frame and some junky fenders. It should make a cool Highboy Hot Rod.

Had another good day in the shop today.

The wagon runs again! The Belair is alive and well. I am waiting on a few more parts. Looks like about one more day and she will be finished up.

We started wiring the 49 today. We hope to get things wired enough to try and fire it tomorrow. We are waiting on parts for this one as well. Always waiting on parts. Good thing we have 6 or 7 projects going on so there is always something to work on.

Another wild day in the shop!

Here are a few shots from the Belair project. We figured out all the wiring, have most of the lights working correctly. We also re assembled the pass front sheet metal. We should have the dash assembled and installed Monday and get it running.
Did some more rust repair on Richard's 1929 Model A pickup. I have almost all the body panels for a 29 Ford pickup in the shop. I am welding all the stress cracks and repairing all the rust. When finished, Richard will reassemble the cab and start the body work.
We also installed the visor on the 49 Chevy. We should get the clutch finished up this weekend. We have some new tires and wheels coming Monday. This will set the ride height so we can finish up the fabrication and set our sights on getting it running.

Picked up some more parts from the sand blaster tonight. My frame for my Model A ford and the cab for Lee's 33 Ford pickup. Things are really happening around here lately.

The last 4 days have been crazy here in the shop!!!

Worked some extra hours and finished the welding on my Model A pickup frame. Threw it on the trailer and hauled it off to the sand blaster. Might have it back this weekend.
Picked up some of my parts from the sand blaster. the last three parts for the 40 tudor. If I can get a couple of these jobs out soon I can get back to the body work and get this car painted.

Made a little progress on the 49 chevy. Finished adapting the Nissan Brakes to the S10 chassis. Found all the correct fittings to adapt the Hydraulic clutch, should finish that up tomorrow. Made all the modifications and hooked up the power steering. We also got the transmission mounted and ordered the new drive shaft. I also removed the little wind wings from the early doors and adapted them to the newer doors with the one piece glass. Nice little touch. waiting on parts as usual.

Picked up another quick job yesterday. This is a 1962 Chevrolet Belair 4 door wagon. We have to install a new wiring harness, heater blower motor which requires the removal of the front fender, Hook up everything electrical and get this car running again. Made real progress yesterday, all the wiring for the rear of the car is finished. I ordered new tail light lenses or it would be complete. Finished the conversion from generator to alternator. Replaced the starter solenoid. Started re installing some of the dash and had the engine cranking over. Hope to have the dash in and maybe running tomorrow. Will be waiting for parts on this one also.

What are the chances???

So, I pick up this weird, unique and kinda rare Whippet coupe body. I had never even heard of a Whippet. Did some research found out what the body was and thought since I've never heard of Whippet, I better do something with this one. I'm working in the shop, start thinking about the Whippet. Then I remember seeing a chassis at a friends house being used as yard art. I start thinking about the day I saw the chassis and remember it was a brand I've never heard of. So I make the call,   " Brian, what is that Chassis in your front yard"  " well, its a Whippet!" BINGO!!!!! The deal was made and I found the chassis for my body within 15 miles from my house. WHAT ARE THE CHANCES????

I finished taking the A pickup apart.

Well, it's official. The A is getting finished. I finished taking it apart today. I have about a days worth of welding to finish the frame and get it to the sand blaster. All other suspension parts should go to the powder coater middle of next week. Hopefully I will be assembling it 2 weeks later. Its been a long time coming but it is definitely time.

Hopefully I can tie up the loose ends tomorrow and get it taken apart.

Christmas came early today for a couple of the projects. I picked up the wheels from the powder coater yesterday and mounted the tires this morning. They all look awesome. The yellow wheels are for the 33 pickup chassis. Should have that one finished next week. Put the new wide whites on the panel today, WOW it looks great. Its days like today that make this job really fun!!!

Quick job 1949 Chevy 5 window

Had a quick job dropped off the other evening. This is a project someone started a while back and never finished. It is on an S-10 chassis. I will do a little finish work, get it running and driving and send it home. Shouldn't take but a couple of weeks. I have a friend that will start working with me in the shop. I will introduce you to Nolan soon.

Picked up some more tin today.

This is a 1931 Willys Overland Whippet coupe. Its kinda rare, not many around. I am planning on building a very traditional hot rod out of this. The roof is a chevy coupe roof, I plan on using some pieces from it and fabricating the rest. Should make a really cool rod. The doors are much longer than a Model A Ford coupe. It is much roomier than a Ford also. Stay tuned, I might start working it in my personal days in the shop.
