SHOP UPDATE: Picked up the truck from the glass shop yesterday.

Here is John's new V butt windshield. We eliminated the division bar from the center, gives it a real custom look.

Sue and I spent the last couple of days installing the fenders. Now you can really see what it will look like when finished.

SHOP UPDATE: Some of the little stuff I am working on

I had to cut up these filler panels to get the right fit. Its extra work but worth it.

The inside of the fenders are sprayed, ready for installation

I installed the grill, so I can align the hood correctly
I am glass beading all the little trinkets so I can attach the chrome trim to the hood.
Got the brackets fabricated so I could install the air cleaner. Looks great
The truck went off to get the glass installed this morning. Should be back early next week.

SHOP UPDATE: A few things I have done before and after gettin it running

This is a vintage Offenhauser oil filter bypass.

Here is the bracket I made to locate the oil filter mount.

This is the oil filter mount.

Here it is plumbed and mounted, I tucked it under the motor mount for protection and it is a clear path straight down so when you change the oil it doesn't drain all over the chassis. NO MESS!!

Spent some time tonight running the E brake cables.

Here is the steering column installed and finish wired.

Here are the shifter and E brake handle installed. I wired the neutral safety switch. I will finish connecting the E brake cables tomorrow night after fishing and install the trans tunnel.

SHOP UPDATE: I scored a pretty nice 35 car hood for my 5 window coupe

SHOP UPDATE: John's 41 Ford

Here is where I mounted the starter solenoid. I have always thought they were ugly so I mounted it out of sight.
The main wiring is finished, so I installed the custom made cables and battery and we have power.
All gauges and switches are wired and installed. I still have to install the AC unit and finish wiring it and the electrical is done.
Here is another look at the dash.
I installed the oak bed floor and skid strips.
Here is the custom end cap, it really finishes off the ends of the wood.

Thought I would show the underside, I think it looks as good as the outside.
Sue and I test fit the tailgate and installed the inside latches and cables.

 No chains for this Ford
I mounted the electric fan to the radiator.
Here it is back in the truck, tight but everything clears like it should.
If you can't find a radiator hose that fits, Get some elbows and make your own. That is 1440 seamless aluminum tubing. should work perfectly.
Here is the assembled grill with the painted chin pan. The photo does not do it justice.
That is all for tonight.

SHOP UPDATE: John's 41 is getting closer

Here are the front fenders, I shot them Sunday evening.

I installed the rear fenders and running boards, filled the rear differential and primed the tailgate today. I am hoping to have the paint work done this week. Waiting for parts is always the issue.
