SHOP UPDATE: Jim's pickup is down to the wire

Susi just finished wet sanding the fenders. I was up at 5:00 am finishing some body work and getting them primed before fishing today.
Here they are just before paint. Been a long time coming on these fenders.

There they are finally finished. I will body schutz the under side tomorrow and install them Friday along with the hood and get it ready for Saturday's show in Whitehall. Hope it all works out.

SHOP UPDATE: Gettin really close on Jim's 35 Ford

Susi and I finished installing the front fenders and running boards the other day.
Yesterday I painted the headlight buckets and mounts. I installed and wired them tonight.
Susi and I finished installing the 1/4 tint tempered glass the other night. I have a little trim to install and the interior is complete until Jim does the upholstery.
Tonight I finished buffing the end cap for the bed and got it installed. Really happy with the way it all turned out.

Just a few shots of the sides after buffing, it really shows the changes in color in this paint. I can't wait to get in the sun for some photos.

Susi and I worked over the passenger rear fender today. I shot some prime, its ready for some small touch up and another guide coat and should be ready for paint.

SHOP UPDATE: Mocking up Bill's roadster

We installed the new Glide seat frame and foam tonight. I also installed the 2" chopped windshield posts and added some tape across to simulate the top of the windshield frame. We will get Bill down here and let him sit in the roadster and make sure the 2" chop will work. He's pretty tall. While he is in we can determine the drop on the steering column and the length and keep setting it up. The car is looking really nice

SHOP UPDATE: Jim's 36

We made some brackets and mounted the electric fan on the 36.

I did a little sanding and buffing on the grill

Susi and I polished the stainless trim that surrounds the grill bars and installed the bullnose. To bad the porcelain Ford emblem was the wrong one and we didn't have the radiator cap. It looks like the grill will have to come off one more time before the truck is finished up.
Tonight we installed the new windshield and frame. Had some minor adjustment and it fits like a glove

We also installed the dash and windshield garnish moldings and the upper header covers. We should have the other glass back mid week so we can finish up the inside.
