SHOP UPDATE: Painting the roadster, one piece at a time

There is Susi wet sanding fenders getting them ready to paint.

We sprayed the inside of the fenders with 3M chip guard to help protect the paint from chips. This car is a driver. It will be all over Montana and possibly California so rock chips are an issue. This should help keep things clean.

These are the finished product, all fenders are painted inside and should be completed this week.
We did a double cowl lace, we were having issues lining up the hood because it was sitting very low. The second cowl lace helps support the hood and lined it right up.

I had to re-work the grill surround to get the insert to fit. It was quite a job opening it up. It will require a little body work but I am really happy with the fit so now we can move on with the paint process.

Really pleased with the fit of the hood now. The gaps are straight and even. Time to break it down and get on with painting the panels.
