SHOP UPDATE: Tim's 50 Merc project
this is the rear shock crossmember getting sleeved where the shocks bolt up.
Here is the crossmember installed with all suspension. Turned out great, just as planned.
This is the rolling chassis, It is sitting at ride height. The Merc should look great.
The radiator, engine and transmission are mounted. Next is plumbing the rear brakes and a fuel line and it is finished.

SHOP UPDATE: Tim's Merc chassis is getting closer
I had to assemble the new rear coilover shocks
This is the new lower four link crossmember I made. I had a friend put the bend in it for me and I fabricated all the tabs. Worked out perfectly.
I mounted the proportioning valve and run the front brake lines. I may have gotten a little ahead of myself. I forgot about the placement of the motor mounts. Hope it all works out without to much re-work.
I fabricated a crossmember for the core support, Should be dropping the engine in this weekend.

I will order some tubing and finish the rear frame rails and we have a rolling chassis. i need to get this thing rolling so It can be moved around, we are shuffling cars around here like maniacs.

FOR SALE: 1940 Ford Deluxe opera coupe project
FOR SALE: 1940 Ford Deluxe opera coupe. I am not sure why I am even listing this car for sale. With that being said, here it goes. This coupe has very minimal rust. The doors, cowl, quarter panels are rust free. It has a few small holes in the floor pan. The rear tail-pan is junk but comes with a replacement tail-pan that is nice. The pass. front fender is very nice. The drivers front needs work but is a good start. The drivers rear needs work but is savable. The pass rear is questionable. The hood needs work. The trunk lid is good, needs work on the inside from past repair work. It has all the interior garnish moldings. Very nice dash. I also have both bumpers and the brackets. The frame is clean and straight with no issues and rolls on stock axles with hydraulic brakes. This car does have its fair share of dings and dents. It needs plenty of hammer and dolly work. This is a pretty rare opportunity here. This is the only 40 coupe I have ever found. They just do not come around often.
Price is $5500.00 Contact me if interested.
