SHOP UPDATE: John's 41

 More goodies for John's 41

 Dropped in the new Pertronics electronic ignition

 installed the new torque converter into the new C6 transmission

 Painted and installed the block plate and bolted on the new flexplate.

I mated the transmission to the engine and slipped them into the chassis. I need to pick up bolts tomorrow morning and they will be bolted in for the last time.

SHOP UPDATE: The last couple days progress on John's 41 Ford

Susi is finishing the final sanding on the cab. I started straightening the fenders so we can prime and guide coat.

 I painted the firewall and the bottom of the cab Monday night. I am masking, getting ready to spray the exterior.

 Here is the finished product. All that sanding and blocking was worth it. I am extremely pleased, the body work was extensive but you wouldnt know it by looking at it.

 After painting this morning I spent the rest of the day and evening plumbing the chassis. I am getting ready to install the new engine and drop the cab on the frame for the last time.

I also painted the new transmission and started prepping and priming the next parts to get body worked and painted.

SHOP UPDATE: Tonight's progress on John's 41 Ford

I wet sanded the roof and the top of the cowl tonight. Tomorrow I will finish sanding the rest of the cab. Wash it from top to bottom and start cleaning the booth. I should be spraying color by Monday evening.  Should be plumbing the chassis in between paint stages and get the engine and trans installed. Hope to finish the paint work by the weekend and get the cab on the chassis.

 Remember the 65 Ford Plumber truck?

 I sprayed the bed strips the original truck color.

Nolan scuffed the strips to give them some age and installed the new custom wood floor and strips. Looks great!

SHOP UPDATE: Whitehall MT car show.

We attended the Whitehall car show today, great show as usual. There were quite a few cars I have never seen before. We had a great time.
