SHOP UPDATE: Gettin closer everyday
Installed some of the Dynamat so I could start pulling wires. The wiring is almost finished.
I put the bed on and installed the air ride system. Then I added the battery and the new tail lights.
I had to roll it out and see what it looks like. I am very pleased so far. Tomorrow brings more wiring and add some fluids and maybe by tomorrow night I will try to start it. I can't wait to hear it run.

I painted a few more bits and pieces tonight. I should have everything finished in one more night. I will be assembling the chassis tomorrow between priming and painting. I need to get the body back on in the next couple of days and start the final push to get it done. Its a little hectic right now in the shop.

SHOP UPDATE: Its been a while
I finished the chop on the doors. this one is ready for interior paint. After grinding I had to do a little blending of the patina. I think it looks good.
I had a serious issue with the radiator hose and alternator clearance. First choice was to mount the Alternator on the right side. The radiator hose would have to go thru the alternator. I found a mount for the left side and was able to use some special hose bends and some aluminum tube to go around the alternator. This was a big issue, Problem solved.
here is the shortened bed. I replaced all 4 stake pockets and the rear lower panel. I installed the new bed floor and welded everything up. Turned out really good except.....
I put the bed on the truck for a test fit. Hate it! It's sits to high. I took it off went back to the shop and took it apart. I lowered the bed on the floor 1 1/4 inches to line up with the belt molding [body line]on the cab. I will try it again in the morning. If I like it, its time to get the floor painted and install it. Thanks for watching

SHOP UPDATE: More sheet metal work
I got quite a bit done today. I cut out the panels for the doors and kick panels, should be running them up to the upholstery guy in the next couple of days. I got the sheet metal bent, bead rolled and trimmed to fit the frame for the bed floor. Tomorrow should be all about the bed. I hope to have most of the bed assembled. Then I will be finishing the welding on the doors and getting ready for more paint.

SHOP UPDATE: Getting closer everyday!
Here are just a few of the stainless bolts I have been polishing for this project. Eventually every bolt in this truck will be polished stainless steel.
The new Aluminum transmission cooler
These are the last shots of the chassis in all its glory. All the brake and fuel lines are fully polished. All the cables and hoses are braided stainless steel. If you haven't noticed there is lots of chrome.
This is the last of the paint work for the cab.
Well, here it is. The cab is back on the chassis for good. Time to start wiring and plumbing and getting it ready to run. This is the first time in a long time it has been on 4 wheels and gettin a little sun.
