SHOP UPDATE: HERE'S JOHNNY'S 41

Well, John's 41 is well on way. One more day of dis-assembly and its fab time. Things are moving along quickly so far. stay tuned!

SHOP UPDATE: FINISHED THE DOORS ON THE PANEL TODAY AND READY TO MOVE ON TO THE NEXT PROJECT

I finished the rust repair on Jason's panel doors this afternoon. I will get a few more things done on it in a few days.

Here is the newest project in the shop.   This is John's 1941 ford pickup. The next few days will be dis-assembly. Then I will start the fabrication for the new chassis. Plans are for a big block 390 and a C6 auto, 4 wheel disc brakes and mustang II independent front suspension. Stay tuned things are getting a little crazy around the shop.

HAVING SOME FUN IN THE SHOP TONIGHT

Well, I started assembling some of the parts on Joe's pickup. Tonight i assembled the rear axle housing and four link. Then I installed the power brake assembly and the front air bags. It sure is nice to put together some clean shiny stuff. I have ordered a bunch of chrome goodies, they should arrive early next week. I can't do much more until the parts arrive. stay tuned!

SHOP UPDATE: FIXING THE RUSTY HINGES ON JASON'S PANEL

I have been tying up some loose ends on Jason's panel truck. The last 2 days have been finish welding the chop on the rear doors and repairing the rusty hinges. I have a little bit to finish in the morning and the hinges are done and I can move on to something else.

SHOP UPDATE: JOE'S PARTS ARE BACK FROM POWDER COAT

I picked up Joe's parts from the powder coaters yesterday.  WOW everything turned out better than expected. I am sending a few parts out for chrome plating. I will start assembling what I can while I wait for the chrome. 

SHOP UPDATE: MOVING FORWARD ON THE PANEL TRUCK

Well, i finished welding the quarter panels today. Repaired the mismatch of the panels caused by the chop. Next is repairing the hinges for the rear doors and getting them hung properly.

THE RAT PANEL IS BACK IN THE SHOP

Jason brought the panel back to get some more welding done. This is the first of several short stays at the shop for the rat. We have quite a few projects we want to add to the panel. First I am finishing the welding on the chop and repair the hinges on the rear doors.

SHOP UPDATE: JOE'S 37 GOES IN FOR POWDER COAT

 I finished all the modifications to the frame and fabricated the new trans crossmember.

 I built some mounts and mounted the fuel tank.

 I finished all the welding, added the gussets for strength and ground everything nice and clean.

The frame and all other parts are loaded and will head in for powder coat in the morning. It won't be long and it is final assembly time.
