The hood and doors are finished. They are ready for final block sanding and paint.
I spent the first half of today finishing all rust repair on the cab. Had to make a couple of patch panels. I melted out the lead in the top corners and replaced it with steel patch panels.
I spent the second half of the day repairing the butchered dash. I replaced all the hacked up spots with new steel so I could start with a clean canvas to lay out the gauges, AC vents and switches. I think it really looks great.
After finishing the last of the fabrication on John's cab I pushed it in the booth for the first coat of primer. tomorrow begins the process of making it straight and shiny. Thanks for taking a look.

SHOP UPDATE: Doing some finish work on John's 41
I finished boxing and grinding the frame Friday morning. I loaded it and the engine and delivered them to the powder coater and the rebuilder.
Yesterday, Sue and I finished the body work on the hood and was able to get it primed for a final guide coat before paint. We almost finished the doors as well. That is today's job.

SHOP UPDATE: I scored a 1932 Hudson coupe !!
After 15 years of periodic badgering, I was finally able to purchase this 1932 Hudson coupe body and frame. It is definitely one of the cleanest bodies I have ever purchased. I don't know anything about Hudsons. Is this a rare body style? I am missing a couple of essential parts, if anybody has a few parts or knows where I might find some I would really appreciate some information. Thanks for letting me share my story.

SHOP UPDATE: More photos of John's 41 Ford
I guide coated the hood this morning to find all the body work. I had to weld some cracks and repair some damage. Next is the filler work and get ready for paint.
I spent the rest of the day finishing tacking the boxing plates and adding the gussets and such to strengthen all the mounts and brackets. Tomorrow I should disassemble the entire chassis for final welding and grinding. I hope to finish in a day or two and send it out for powder coat along with the engine for rebuild. Thanks for looking. I hope its not to boring!

SHOP UPDATE: Here are some shots from the Butte car show at the Civic Center today
I took Joe's 37 Ford pickup to the Copper City Gear Jammers car show at the Butte Civic Center today. There were some really cool cars there today. I had a great time and made some new friends. The truck was very popular and we won the best in progress award even though the truck is pretty much finished. Not everybody gets it.
