SHOP UPDATE: Goodbye leaf springs....Hello four link!!

Well, the weather has put  a temporary stop to the new shop build. I am working in the small shop on the 41 until the weather gets a bit better so I can get the shop finished. John and I decided to change the rear suspension from the leaf springs to triangulated four link. I have removed the unwanted bits and pieces and have  things mocked up. I will start fabricating the front brackets for the upper bars and start the cross member for the coil over shocks. Things are  looking good.

NEW SHOP UPDATE: Things have slowed down in the new shop!

Well, winter came with a vengeance. The garage door people are dragging their feet and have pretty much stopped progress at the shop. With the highs close to zero, not much is going to happen until we get those damn doors. I was just about finished roughing in the wiring, I did get the doors hung though. We should be in the thirties for a couple of days near the weekend. I hope to get some stuff done then.
 I will be starting to work on the 41 again in the morning. I am gonna have to split my time between the two for a little while.

NEW SHOP UPDATE: More progress on the shop

Well, we almost finished the siding on the North side. Unfortunately I didn't get enough stained to do the whole job. I will be staining for the next 2 days between running the electrical, We hope to have both finished by early next week. We also installed the door to the paint booth. It has a nice big window so you can see what is going on in there. It should be fun. Later

NEW SHOP UPDATE: Just waiting on the doors and we are dried in !

Sue and I finished the soffits today. We installed the Rafter Mates yesterday. I also finished framing the bathroom yesterday. If the doors will ever get here we can hang them and we are dried in!!!! We are going to work on siding the north wall, that is where all the weather will pound the shop all winter. I should start the wiring on Wednesday and get ready for the sheet rockers. thanks for looking

2014 Guide season is officially over !

I thought I would post a few highlights of the 2014 season. It has been a great year. Already looking forward to next season.

NEW SHOP UPDATE: Gettin dried in

We finally were able to finish up the roof. It turned out really nice. Now we are framing up the paint room. We stood the walls yesterday and built the ceiling / floor for the storage area today. I hope to get the bathroom framed up tomorrow. Thanks for looking
