I scored a 1935 Ford deluxe car grill yesterday from a friend. This is one of the parts I was missing for my sedan delivery. It is a very strong possibility I will start building my delivery next year. I can't wait

SHOP UPDATE: Wrapping up fabrication on the 36 pickup

 Susi made the patterns and fit the patches all over Jim's pickup

 This is just a small portion of the damage on this truck

 Here is the new blank dash and the repaired glove box lip

The floor is welded in and the transmission tunnel is finished. We need to finish the floor under the seat and the fab is finished on the cab. We will attach all parts and fit everything before we take it down for body and paint.

Susi finished the body work on the 2 hood tops yesterday. I primed them tonight, we will guide coat them one more time before paint.

SHOP UPDATE: Things going on in the shop

I almost finished the transmission tunnel in Jim's pickup today. I have about an hour tomorrow and I will start bead rolling the floor panels and welding them in. I should finish the interior fab this week and start body work next week.

I installed Susi's steering column and wheel tonight. I will be building the trans tunnel in this one this week in the evenings. Trying to get this one finished up as well.

I also got the steering hooked up. I will have to use a little shorter oil filter but everything is coming together very well. The brake pedal will be the challenge in this one.

SHOP UPDATE: Susi's killer ride is getting closer

 I got the headlight stands mounted and mounted the headlights. Now I can fabricates the upper shock mounts and finish the front end of this truck.

 The truck is starting to get some personality

 Sue and I formed the driveshaft tunnel the other morning before we started wworking on Jim's 36 pickup.

 Sue and I installed the tunnel and fabricated and bead rolled the floor pans under the seat this morning.

 Then we modified and mounted the power brake booster and master cylinder the the frame.

 We installed the automatic shifter and E brake handle so we could start fabricating the floor panels

We fabricated most of the floor panels today. I will be working on the transmission tunnel in the evenings this week. We are trying the get this frame off to sand blast by the weekend.

SHOP UPDATE: Breaking in the new Baleigh magnetic brake

 Jim's cab made it on the chassis finally. Now I can get a real idea what its gonna look like when its on the road.

 Started piecing together the new recessed firewall, I was able to try out the new magnetic brake. WOW! What a machine, this thing is a game changer when it comes to bending sheet metal.

 This is the first test fit on the new floor panels I bent on the new brake.

I should have all the floor work done early next week so we can get this cab body worked and ready for paint.

SHOP UPDATE: We bought a bitchin little hot rod F1 from a friend

 Sue and I purchased this cute little 1949 F1 from my friend Dick.

It had a major oil leak, we dug in and found that the pipe fitting for the oil sending unit was cracked. It basically fell off in my hand as soon as we started to remove it. Now its time for a little driving and decide what color it should be painted. The plan is to take it apart and paint everything inside and out. It should be really awesome truck.

More Steelhead fishing

 Susi and I went back for another round of Steelhead fishing in Idaho

 I was able to find a pretty nice one in a weird little spot above a run

This is one of the last runs we fished, I hooked a monster. I had it on for quite awhile but wasn't able to get it landed. Oh well, I'm going back.
