SHOP UPDATE: Did a little shop time with my Dad and Brother DJ over the fourth

My Dad and brother showed up Friday afternoon. After Susi went to work, DJ, Dad and I hit the shop to get a little work done on my 40 Ford shop truck. We stripped off the front sheet metal and began the MII front suspension swap. After cutting out the front cross member and steering box mount. DJ and I boxed the frame rails and installed the crossmember and hats. I put it together with some old original Mustang II components that will be replaced later when I finish the chassis. It has 2 inch drop spindles up front that really gets it down in the dirt. I had to add some lowering blocks in the rear to get the ride height set where I like it. Next will be engine and trans after I slow down in the shop later this summer.

SHOP UPDATE: John's 41 gets some paint this weekend

John's doors and hood have been ready to spray for a little while now. I finished the rough body work on the cab tonight. As you can see in the photos I pretty much had to work every square inch of the cab. I put it in the booth and laid down some serious coats of primer. Tomorrow I should be guide coating and blocking out the primer and cleaning up the paint booth. I hope to get the doors and hood painted this weekend and the cab early next week..
